Volunteer with Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is more than just a meal delivery service. It’s a vital lifeline for seniors who may be isolated, housebound, or at risk of malnutrition. At SPRINT Senior Care, our Meals on Wheels volunteers are at the heart of this essential program.

Each year, with the support of our dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteers (including drivers, runners, and kitchen assistants) we deliver over 30,000 nutritious meals to more than 350 seniors in our community. Their contributions go far beyond delivering food.
Our volunteers provide friendly check-ins, monitor client well-being, offer a sense of connection, and often advocate for additional support when needed. For many clients, our volunteers are a familiar and trusted presence who bring compassion, comfort, and companionship.
Here’s what some of our clients have shared:
“I look forward to seeing them every week and miss them when they are away.”
“Without SPRINT I would be alone and isolated. You all make me feel less lonely, please thank all your lovely staff and volunteers who make my days brighter.”
Our typical meal delivery window is from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with volunteer shifts available Monday to Sunday, year-round within our catchment area (Bloor to the 401; Bathurst to Bayview/Don River). We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months.
