Our Transportation service service enables clients to attend important appointments while continuing to live independently in the community. As the lead agency for Toronto Ride, SPRINT Senior Care leads a collaborative partnership of not-for-profit, community support service agencies that provide assisted door-to-door transportation.

Job Summary:
The Transportation Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Transportation program. Primary responsibilities include leading a team of Coordinators and Drivers in meeting client transportation needs, and day-to-day operations including ride coordination and scheduling, service monitoring, client services, workforce planning, supervision, service statistics and documentation.
What you will do:
- Maintain and enhance respectful and helpful relationships with clients.
- Lead quality and safety initiatives and improvements for the department for clients, staff and volunteers.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of departmental standards, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee logistics of transportation service provision including communication and participation with clients, caregivers, internal agency staff/volunteers, interagency partners, and referral sources.
- Provide support and/or backup for receiving and recording client ride requests and the production of schedules for service delivery.
- Supervise assigned team of Drivers and Coordinators.
- Assess and fill current and future staffing needs.
- Work with internal and external referral sources to implement program plans.
- Assist in identifying, developing, and establishing new transportation opportunities.
- Oversee the implementation of program evaluation, quality and risk management activities.
- Support staff with the use of mobile phones and client information management system.
- Arrange regular and ad hoc department meetings, training, and events.
- Reconciling Driver Availability with Novus (Trapeze) and confirming work schedules with drivers, as needed.
- Ensure that information in client profiles and client billing is kept up to date.
- Responsible for maintenance of the program including all administrative duties associated with the department.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree or college diploma, in a relevant discipline
- Experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
- Proven ability to identify problems and develop and implement solutions
- Self-directed and results oriented with an ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience coaching and training staff members
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills
- Exceptional computer skills: experience with Trapeze, Alayacare and DriverMate is an asset
- Ability to master new computer skills and programs quickly
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with transportation logistics is an asset
- Experience working with seniors is an asset.
